Kraven the Hunter packs a punch, the action is sparse but gory and gorgeous, and stands out from the crowd. Moreover, Kraven the Hunter is shaped by his intentions. J.C. Chandor plays with the silliness of a film like this by taking it completely seriously, but it gives the film a cheesy value because a certain sense of humor comes through because this kind of comic book story is told so seriously. Still, I couldn't help but be intrigued throughout, drawn into the drama of the Kravinoff family and their enemies, and frankly, left me wanting to see more. Search for this film on Afdah.
