Welcome to Nearly One-Fourth, the podcast dedicated to being a space for women in architecture sharing their experiences in the profession. On today's episode I am happy to welcome Kristie Stanfield to the Nearly One-Fourth Community.
As the leader of Champlin’s Toledo office, Kristie uses her creative design solutions to convey clear concepts to clients and lead them through the design process by sharing options that can be quickly evaluated. By taking the time to understand the needs of each client and project, Kristie is able to collaborate and lead the team with a unique solution tailored to the clients need and goals for a project.
Kristie earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Cincinnati, where she later served as an adjunct professor and guest critic.
During her three decades with Champlin Architecture, Kristie is one of the firm leaders of Champlin Architecture, and served on the Board of Directors for 8 years. honored as one of the Top Ten Women in Interior Design by Women’s Business Cincinnati magazine, and participated on several award-winning projects; most recently the University of Toledo Parks Tower renovation.
Kristie is certified by the American Academy of Interior Designers (AAHID) and is a site visitor for the Council of Interior Design Accreditation of postsecondary interior design education programs in the US and Internationally. She is a member of IIDA and USGBC, and is also a Fitwel ambassador. Kristie participates in the Women’s Initiative of the United Way in the Greater Toledo Area, Kids Coalition Against Hunger, and is also a member of the Toledo Chamber of Commerce.
