After a quiet stretch, I am back, and I am starting where it actually started.
For nearly two decades I was the capable one in HR, the steady one everyone leaned on. What no one could see was the bracing underneath. This is the story of the evening that cracked it open, the work that followed, and the approach that grew out of it: tapping, somatic practice, and Human Design braided into something I call The Quiet Clearing.
The Quiet Clearing is for professional women who look capable and successful on the outside while they brace on the inside, carrying a great deal at work and at home and holding it so well no one thinks to ask if they are alright. If that is you, there is room for you here.
A line to sit with: strength was never the bracing, the bracing was only the habit.
A question to carry with you: where in your life are you holding something so well that no one knows to ask if you are alright?
The home for all of it:

A first introductory journey is open to no more than six women. If walking this alongside someone calls to you, the door is on the website.

Walk gently, there is nothing to earn here.
I created it for the women who hold so much: the capable women, the dependable women, the women others turn to for steadiness, answers, care, and strength.
Their lives may look composed from the outside while, inside, they feel tired, stretched thin, disconnected from themselves, or unsure what they need anymore.
I do not believe the answer is another demand, another productivity strategy, or another version of ourselves to work toward.
Sometimes, what we need first is a clearing: a place to stop carrying everything for a moment, let the nervous system begin to settle, and hear our own voice again.
The Quiet Clearing is a gentle, guided experience that brings together EFT (tapping), nervous system support, reflection and practical practices for everyday life. We move through six Waypoints: space, safety, aliveness, discernment, belonging, and freedom.
They are not steps to finish or another ladder to climb. They are places we return to as life changes us.
You do not need to be at a breaking point to belong here. You may simply know that the way you have been carrying your life is no longer the way you want to continue.

The Weight You Stopped Noticing
You can handle it. That was never really the question. The question is whether you want to keep carrying everything.
This is the Friday close of a week I have spent sitting with one sentence I hear from capable women all the time: I should be able to handle this. And the truth is, you can. That is exactly the trap.
Your capacity is not a character trait. It is a skill your nervous system learned a long time ago, usually because at some point you needed it. The trouble is that a body that got good at bracing keeps bracing, long after the danger has passed.
So this episode is less about one more insight and more about giving your body a few quiet minutes to set something down. It closes with a short somatic practice for noticing what you are carrying and choosing one thing to put down. You cannot think your way out of a pattern your body is holding.
A line to sit with: You are allowed to be capable and still choose not to carry everything.
A question to carry with you: Of everything you are holding right now, what is actually yours to carry?

Welcome to Koffee with Kris!
Wherever you are as the week winds down, take this moment to land. Let your feet find the floor, let your shoulders drop, and take one slow breath in and a long breath out - then join me for a short tapping exercise to gently set it all down and step into the weekend lighter than you came in!
In this story episode, Kris shares a concert camping weekend where everything that could go wrong did: five hours at a truck stop, rained out sets, a soaking you could wring out of your hair, and a blown tire on the ride home. And somewhere in the middle of it all, her parentsw, weeks out from major surgery, dancing together under the lights.
This is an episode about fun as a decision instead of a forecast. About being allowed to say salty words first. And about what becomes possible when turning back and going forward costs exactly the same.
In This Episode:A family concert tradition spanning more than twenty years. The five hour truck stop and the honest, unglamorous middle of a hard day. The halfway point decision and why it applies far beyond road trips. Talking dad (and his walker) up to the show, and the laugh that came after the rain. Why joy that waits for perfect conditions almost never gets felt. A permission slip for having fun before everything is fixed.
A Question to Sit With This Week: Where in your life are you watiing for conditions to improve before you let yourself enjoy what is already here?

This week I am telling a story about what happens when authenticity actually lands. Early in my HR Career, I walked into a manufacturing company where the union employees had built a wall between them and management. They did not trust HR and they certainly did not trust HR. But instead of staying behind the brick wall… I walked through it. Stood next to them. Learned their work. Treated them like humans. A few weeks in, on my birthday, they brought me flowers. Then a few weeks later at the fall festival, they asked me to be on their team. They chose me. Not because I was HR. Because I was Kris. This episode is about what joy actually looks like when you stop performing it, and start living it.
