Episode 11: Kristinn Mason has over 20 years’ professional experience as a micro-economist, with wide-ranging and deep exposure to utility regulation across energy, rail, water and wastewater sectors. He has direct experience of working for utility regulators both in the UK and Abu Dhabi, where he has covered many strategic regulatory policy issues. These have included market structure and reforms, as well as designing and setting intra-sector charges and end-customer tariffs. He has also experienced the setting and lifting price controls, developing regulatory incentives and opening markets to competition. Currently, Kristinn is working for a UK water company where he is heavily involved with the current regulatory price review.
