Long time host of "Open Line to the West Coast" , he was a big part of night time radio in the bay area. His career as a nuclear scientist, professor and defense engineer provided the background for his show. He also had cameo appearances in several "Dirty Harry" movies which helped to set his place in the culture of San Francisco of the 80's. We take time to remember "The Smartest Man in the World".
