President Biden issues executive action on immigration and border security

KSL at Night host Rusty Cannon begins the show examining President Biden’s new Executive Order imposing limits on people crossing the southern U.S. border. The core of the new order is the ability to refuse entry to most foreign nationals who cross the border without prior authorization. We hear sound from President Biden, as well as the Republican response. 

Hunter Biden’s felony firearm possession trial begins

Opening statements were given today in the federal firearm trial of the President’s son, Hunter Biden. He faces three federal charges relating to his efforts to purchase a firearm in 2018 while allegedly addicted to drugs. We take a deeper look into the opening statements from both sides, and discuss what the trial may look like as time goes on.

Meet Brad Wilson, GOP candidate for U.S. Senate

This election cycle features a primary race in the Republican Party for the open Senate seat soon to be vacated by Mitt Romney. During KSL at Night, we want to make sure the candidates each have an opportunity to introduce themselves to Utahns. Ballots for the June 25th election are on the way

If you check your mailbox today, you may find a ballot. Election day is June 25th, and mail-in ballots are already on their way to registered voters. In addition to the primary races, there are several non-partisan races you should be aware of. Salt Lake County Clerk Lannie Chapman talks to us about the ballot-counting process and shares information everyone should hear before they cast their vote.
