Republican candidate for SLCo Mayor shares thoughts on $507 million bond proposal
Earlier this week, the Salt Lake County Council voted to send a proposal from County Mayor Jenny Wilson to the ballot in November. The proposal involved a $507 million bond on public safety. We’ve heard from a few supporters of the bond this week, and wanted to make sure we got an opposing view. GOP candidate for Salt Lake County Mayor Erin Rider is running against Wilson, and joins the show to explain her views against the bond proposal.

Examining lawsuits claiming DEI trainings discriminate against White people
Right now, more than 50 lawsuits against DEI – Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – are working their way through the court system. One of them comes from neighboring Colorado, where a corrections officer claims that DEI trainings lead to a hostile work environment and unfairly targets White people. The KSL at Night hosts discuss the lawsuits and share their thoughts on the officer’s legal standing.

Could the DOJ force Google to break up?
A federal judge ruled last week, saying that Google acted illegally to maintain a monopoly in online searches. Following that decision, several entities have proposed ideas for the future of Google; one of the ideas is to force Google to break up. According to several reports, the US Department of Justice is toying with that very idea. Could that actually happen? Listen to hear what the hosts think.
