When I was young, “KULOT” was used as a panukso — especially by my siblings — as if having curly hair was something to be ashamed of. 🤷🏻♀️
I didn’t realize that because of that, I started to hide and feel embarrassed about my curls. Over the past few months, I’ve been on a journey of healing and self-discovery, and I’ve realized how much the world can distort our perception of beauty — making us hate, deny, or hide “The Reality” or “The Truth” about ourselves… the very things that no one can truly change because they’re part of God’s unique design.
As I’ve been seeing more influencers and vloggers glorify and normalize cosmetic surgeries and changing physical appearances, God has gently reminded me to be set apart — to go the opposite direction.
He’s calling me to start loving something I once tried to change… something He intentionally gave me: my natural curls.
How about you?
What is a beauty in you that you may have been hiding for so long?
Pray and ask God about it. 🦋
While the world is busy telling you to change your nose, your lips, your face— find the hidden beauty in you that God is calling you to FULLY embrace.
✨ Be ye set apart. (Romans 12:2)
