Kurt De Belder has been leading the University of Leiden library for 15 years, overseeing a huge expansion of their open access policy, social media operations, and international collaborations. As University Librarian and Director of Leiden University Libraries & Leiden University Press, de Belder has continually innovated in how information is accessed and shared. He has experience working in libraries on both sides of the Atlantic and shares that perspective in this interview.
