If our government was a baseball game, the fans would have stormed the field and chucked the umpires into the dugout by now.
As our institutions are strained, seemingly toward the point of collapse beneath the weight of unprecedented American corruption, it is hard to not feel as though the fundamental understanding of our own system of government is upended, and dangerously distorted.
We would be naive to assume our system will remain unbroken. Are we headed towards a societal collapse? By examining the science and history behind past collapses we can explore how close or far we may be, and what steps we can take to prevent such a fate.
