Kyle Chatham pt.1

Listen Later

Kyle Chatham is a Scottish singer-songwriter whose ethereal dark folk blends bedroom pop, shoegaze, alt-rock, and ambient soundscapes. His tranquil melodies and sombre, existential lyrics create music that feels both timeless and sincere, drawing influence from Nick Drake, Ben Howard, Arthur Russell, and Chris Cornell. Beginning on drums at age five and later guitar, his sound grew from 90s alt-rock roots into a wide palette shaped by folk, jazz, hip hop, and shoegaze. With a background in sound production, Kyle combines creative depth with technical precision. He was a finalist for the Ivor’s Scholarship, during which he wrote, recorded, and released his debut album Neon Spring.
