Growing up Kyle Reese was the man. He was the one that took on an incredible challenge: help a woman fight persecution.  While the Terminator was a violent action packed scifi mega fest, it was also teaching us that protection, the honor of going back in time to protect a woman was so fucking worth it.  As a young boy it drilled into me, not only what tech could do, and i could dream, but who doesn't want to be Kyle Reese?  Of course, he's there to save her, cause one day she will be the mother that saves humanity.  But the key point, is not just saving her to be a vessel, a parking lot for your future christ, she has to break thru, she has to be ready to not only have the child she wants, but that it is her decision.  Its funny cause Terminator informs both sides of abortion debate.  In many ways its a fantastic lens to look at how out of perspective humanity is in.  The terminator, texas law, is set to kill the woman, and anyone near her.  Resse, is there to protect her at any cost, so that when shes ready, she'll be ready.
