Jayson Tatums game-winning layup was the first game-winning buzzer-beater at home in Celtics postseason history. It capped a 31-point, 8-assist performance by Bostons 24-year old superstar, as Tatum became the 5th player over the last 30 seasons to win a series opener at the horn.
It spoiled a 39-point performance from Kyrie Irving, who scored 18 of his points in the 4th quarter, the most by a visiting player against the Celtics over the last 25 postseasons.
