No matter where you stand in politics it is likely true that you believe we can do better as a country.  Martial arts instructors have a tool that can help us do better!  The Tenets of Kyuki-do; Courtesy, Humility, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-control and Indomitable Spirit.

Enroll your child into martial arts, or any activity that holds similar values important!  The future is not gloomy!  I believe we are already on our way to better days!

If I could tell you how to avoid argumentative, temperamental, aggressive teenage children you are raising, would you listen?

Get engaged!  Don't just say it, do it!  

Martial Arts greatness is just like any other life skill you wish to excel at.  The more you DO IT the better you become at it!

It takes a village to raise a child or in this case it takes all of us to create the best possible learning environment.

Now, before you coaches and athletes get mad, I mean no offense and no disrespect.  I love and support all physical and mental sports and activities.  Anything we do, and give it our all, will result in the betterment of the practitioner.  

However, to keep your interest let me give this one opinion here.  I have never heard of a martial artist add baseball to their list of activities in order to better their martial arts.  I have heard of baseball athletes add on martial arts to their list of activities in order to better their baseball.

Mat chats this week are talking about 'Learning From History.'  This approach to the topic of history is a bit different than what you are used to.  Learn from past experiences and never let successes or failures lose their educational advantage for your future. Confidence is built through history.  Perseverance is demonstrated through history.  Self-control is encouraged through history  and so much more! 

Let's talk about why Martial Arts training makes sense for homeschoolers!  The martial arts advantage give kids of all educational paths a leg up but homeschooling is a topic near and dear to me.  Social skills, leadership skills, self-control and self-respect are just the beginning of the advantage martial arts training can bring to your family.
