When we think about, see and portray older adults we tend to do it in a rather negative light. We see them as fragile or dependent on us, among other stereotypes. 

However, getting old and relying on older generations has been key to our survival. The article 'Wisdom of Grandparents Helped Rise of Prehistoric Man' from the Guardian is just an example of how we wouldn't have made it this far if we hadn't listened to and learned from our ancestors. 

It refers to a distant past, but the key message still applies today. Our parents and our grandparents, whether we like it or not, have an additional extra years of life experiences that we could learn from to manoeuvre our own with more knowledge than before. 

This episode is meant to invite you to practice something we, young people, don't do that much: to ask them.
