Oh loved it as much as the first one and have the third in hand. Do hope she writes many more in the series. I'm a fan.
Enjoyed it so much...read it in two days trying not to read it in two days...HELP...thrrd book just arrived. This was a used book listed but like new when it arrived. So was the first one. Happy to have all three and do hope the author intends to write a much bigger series even if she starts to do a lot more creative and imaginative story lines than just some of what she's found in relation to these sisters in her newspaper searching. Great series and anyone who can relate to this period of time through past or present grandparents etc. it's even more of a bonus. Realizing yet again our grandparents may have been born before the women could vote across our country...I didn't realize New York or other states my have allowed women voters before the whole nation did...so in 1917 in NY but not until 1920 for the full USA. Love she includes little bits of information that you can then digest and apply to your own thinking and imagination too....I wish my grandparents were still around. I would love to sit down and read this series to them in the evenings. They would be close to 140 though...so yeah and my mom she was born in 1930 but sadly she's no longer with us either. But I enjoy this time and place in histroy and think the author has a great easy to read flowing style and now and again question some of it here or there...but in general...love how it reminds me to think about that era of our history. And also how far we have come and seem to be going...not just products...and technology but the changes in people too.
My best fiction read in a while
A quick read. Lots of dialog and very good character development. No wasted words and long trivial ovrerly detailed inserts. There is excellence in simplicity. Book gives the reader a good feel for the times (early WW1).
I thought it was great. I enjoyed her picturesque writing
I thought it was great. I enjoyed her picturesque writing. Her character reminded me of my Aunt Lucy and I could just see her tackling culprits down to the ground!!! (hahaha) It was a fun read.
Definitely a fun read.
This is definitely a fun read. Probably better if you have read Stewart's first book first because the background of the characters isn't given a lot of detail.
I love to read about this time-period and I love mysteries
This was the second in the series that I have read and I am really enjoying them. I love to read about this time-period and I love mysteries.
