Getting the news that your contract is ending can be quite overwhelming, especially when you’re young, a foreigner, and not as professionally stable as you would like to be.

From spamming companies and international organizations with our CVs to having to prove to ourselves that we are worth it — a lot — it can trigger anxiety, put us in a position of self-doubt, and make us rethink the highly ambitious career paths our younger selves once dreamed of.
