"Lady Liberty is weeping for her children, pt. 2"

Listen Later

As in the words of a young baseball stadium worker who had being beat down by the so-called peace keepers of Los Angeles, California the city of angels, after this week of anger, protest, and violence which lead to the LA riot, after many had lost their property, damages into $40 million, 63 lost their lives, and though it was named the Watts riot: many areas in the city of LA was burned due to the riot, that followed an acquittal of the officers that beat Mr. King! That very same man who was beaten: Mr. King stood up and said: "why can't we all just get along," even after being beat up himself. Those words were words of someone who was trying to be a peacemaker. (Matthew 5:9) read it!

I don't know if he was told to say that, by some city politician or law enforcement personnel to help calm the violence and anger of people in the city. All I know is he said it. And let me make it clear: not all Los Angeles police officers at the time were involved, nor did they condone such evil. Hum, but in a public opinion some may view it differently or even from a biblical perspective. "When you're silent at injustice, you condone it." In LA, this happened on their watch. May the Lord bless and continue to heal all who live through it, saw it and witness it first-hand. May God bless and continue to help us find forgiveness on both sides.
