Hey y'all, Artificial Lure here with your Lake Texoma fishing report for March 14, 2025.
The weather's looking decent today with partly cloudy skies and highs around 65°F. Winds are light out of the southeast at 5-10 mph. Sunrise was at 7:32 AM and sunset will be at 7:38 PM.
Now, Lake Texoma ain't got tides being landlocked, but water levels are currently about 3 feet below normal pool. Water temps are in the low 50s.
Fishing's been picking up lately as things start to warm up. Stripers are the hot ticket right now. They're schooling up in 15-30 feet of water around points and humps. Lots of keeper-sized fish in the 3-5 pound range being caught, with some bigger ones mixed in. Alabama rigs and 4-5 inch swimbaits in shad colors have been working well. Live shad is always a good bet too if you can get your hands on some.
Crappie fishing is starting to heat up. They're moving into the creeks and coves, holding on brush piles and structure in 8-12 feet of water. Jigs and minnows fished near the bottom are your best bet.
Bass fishing has been a bit slow but should pick up soon. Look for them to start moving shallow as the water warms. Soft plastics and jigs worked slowly around stumps and rocks are a good starting point.
Catfish have been hit or miss. Drift fishing cut shad on flats in 20-30 feet of water has been producing some eaters.
For hot spots, I'd recommend checking out Washita Point or the area around Grandpappy Point Marina. The river channels near the 70 bridge have also been holding good numbers of fish.
Remember to get your license if you're heading out. Tight lines, everybody!
