This week on Lakehoma Tassels, James and Mike look at Jesus' regular movement towards people. Jesus moved towards people even if they didn't fit the mold. How can we also move towards people with the same kind of grace and patience that Jesus models?
This week James and Mike talk about the importance of removing ourselves from a situation. Whether it be sin/temptation or if we recognize that we can't say anything Christ-like, we have to be willing to move away from our surroundings.
This week on Lakehoma Tassels James and Mike look at Zecharaiah chapter 7 and the continual cycle of Israel rejecting the commands of God. In order for us to move towards God we have got to put our faith into action and over and over God commands his people to show mercy to the marginalized. Perhaps if we want to move closer to God we need to see examine our own lives and the role mercy plays in it.
This week James and Mike look at Deuteronomy 10:12-13 and examine the difference between two phrases that on the surface level appear very similar. This leads into a bigger discussion about how to read/study the Bible. There are times for a big picture reading, but then there are also times for us to slow down and dig for the gold.
This week James and Mike exploring the wrath of God in Ezekiel 21. But the move to Hebrews and the good news that we have an advocate in Jesus Christ who intercedes on our behalf before God.

This week, James and Mike talk about the movement of compassion that takes place inside of us. They look at Luke 7:11-13. There are ways we can grow in our ability to show compassion to others and there are expectations we should eliminate when it comes to compassion.
