Cool McCain from Play Callers Sports Talk stops by once again to share thoughts on the season ahead for the Denver Nuggets. He and Gerald go into what the loss of Peyton Watson will mean for the rotation and versatility of the team, and the impending free-agent status of Nikola Jokic. Plus, he shares thoughts on what he feels is the REAL problem in Denver and has some impressions of the Lakers roster as well. The Lakers return home to the Crypt for their first game of the preseason in the friendly confines of Los Angeles, with a rematch scheduled against the Sacramento Kings. And despite more players being held out of the lineup, the home cooking was good in the first half as the Lakers built up a double-digit lead. Even a cooling off in the fourth quarter wasn't enough to prevent the Lakers from scoring a 114-110 preseason victory. The Lakers stepped out onto the court for the first time in preseason as they looked to get off to a good warm-up against the Sacramento Kings. And with many of the new players getting an opportunity, the Lakers set the tone on both sides of the floor in the first half as they built a 73-47 lead and cruised with the reserves to start their preseason journey with a 127-103 pasting of the Kings.
