And the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has a program called “Risk Less, Do More” that encourages preventing illness. Dr. Donald Dumford, the medical director of infection prevention at the Cleveland Clinic in Akron, Ohio, joins the show to discuss this program and the problems it’s designed to prevent.
