This is week ten of our series I AM. Today we discuss one of the boldest, most powerful claims Jesus ever made. Jesus claims He is God. Jesus shows us He is more than a teacher, He is more than a prophet, He existed before Abraham and the prophets. In John chapter 8 we witness Jesus using the divine “I AM” language. The ultimate question for us now is, "Who is Jesus and are you truly following the Eternal I Am?” We read over scriptures John 8:48-59.
This is Week nine of our series I AM. What if the freedom you want requires facing the truth you’ve been avoiding? People claim they want truth but then struggle receiving it when it calls for a change to their life that has been built on a lie. We sometimes sit in the wrong things because there is a feeling of comfort knowing what to expect and they have become so normalized. But God lovingly calls us into real freedom but that also will have us face unknown territories, but we get to face these beautiful truths with our Lord and savior. Jesus shows us a truth that will set us free. Do you want it? We read scriptures John 8:21-47.
This is week eight of our series I AM. When you are learning and hearing things in life, how do you know if it is against or aligned with God and His will? We discuss a fundamental way of checking things through a filter to know truth. also while doing so we identify that Jesus is grace and the truth is His grace is transforming for mankind. Have you felt real changes in your life from the grace of God? Have you accepted the benefit of dropping our stone-like attacks and lifting up our voices with loving truth when experiencing many situations in a fallen word. We read over traditional verses in John 7:53 and John 8:1-11 and affirm them with many scriptures like we see in verses Matthew 21:1, John 3:16-21.
This is week seven of our series I AM. Have you ever chased for fulfillment in life in all the wrong places, just to feel thirsty again and again, never feeling satisfied? Well Jesus makes it clear once again that through Him we can come and get living water, a source to eternal life and a way to truly be satisfied. When we encounter Jesus through belief it brings upon a river of change through the Holy Spirit flowing in and through us, which will radically change lives. Some people will look at it as you being ridiculous. But here is the question with tremendous importance... When Jesus says, “I AM LORD.” Will you be ridiculous and reject Him or radically accept Him? During the talk we read scriptures John 7:37-52.
This is week six of our series I AM. Have you ever been caught in darkness without light? Things become unclear, uncertain, anxiety can rise and chaos can grow in the midst of darkness. Today we unpack the claim of Jesus Christ when he says, "I am the light of the world." That statement is a powerful promise that can help us with everyday life decisions. When we reflect on who Jesus is we should be prepared to then share Him with others. There is power in looking back at what God has done, looking up to Jesus for who He is and what He has said, and looking out to the world to help others in the darkness. What will you do with the light of the world? We read scriptures John 8:12-20, Exodus 3:14, Exodus 13:21-22, Psalm 36:9, and Isaiah 49:6.
This is week five of our series I Am. Everyone has opinions yet not everyone's opinions are correct when compared to the truth. In John chapter seven we see many people gather and start forming opinions from their curiosity. So many people knew facts about Jesus but still didn't truly know who He was. Today we still witness this very same thing. So we personally ask you this question, Who is Jesus and what will you do with what you know about Him? When it comes to Jesus will you investigate or ignore Him, will you reject or receive Him, will you forget Jesus and His teachings or follow Him with your actions? We read scriptures John 7:25-36.
This is week four of our series I AM and today we ask the question, "Who's time are you on?" for instance, what is prioritized when you fill your schedule, what pace do you make your decisions, is Christ in the center of these situations? Sometimes we can find ourselves living for the applause of people and that causes us to try to rush God's timing. We discuss how God’s timing can move us forward but our desire for our own timing so often delivers us set backs. Are you trying to force God into your timeline, or are you willing to step into His? We read scriptures John 7:1-24, 2 Peter 3:8, and Leviticus 23:42-43.
Have you ever been in a relationship and something felt off? Today we discuss the design God intentionally has for us to have healthy growing relationships. Especially when it comes to marriage, this relationship should prioritize each other, hold fast to each other, and ultimately become one under God. Imagine having an all loving God and His mighty plan for our relationships so that relationships would never be easily broken, instead they would be cared for and protected... Well that type of a relationship is made available from God to us. We read scriptures Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-25, Ephesians 5:31-32, Matthew 19:6, and Ecclesiastes 4:9-12.
This is week three of our series I AM. If we are honest, it’s easy to seek Jesus for what He can give us, but Jesus invites us to truly seek Him for who He is. Physical hunger is temporary, but the hunger in our souls goes much deeper, still, we can so often find ourselves chasing after temporary things. Jesus is asking for more than our admiration—He’s asking us to trust Him, receive Him, and allow Him to truly satisfy us. As Peter essentially asks, “Who else is worthy?” we’re reminded how worthy Jesus is and that there is nowhere else to turn for the life and satisfaction our souls ultimately need. We read over scriptures John 6:22-71.
This is week two of our series I Am. Have you ever been caught in a storm, rough waves, crazy winds, and a down pour of rain? How about a rough situation in life that left you feeling helpless, anxious and in a growing amount of fear? Well today we share a truth... no matter the size of the storm or situation, in the grand scheme of things God is bigger. Jesus makes it clear that he can be present even in the darkest of storms. He says, "I Am Here, don't be afraid". Are you looking for Jesus in your situations? we read over scriptures John 6:16-21.
