Those risks are only expected to intensify as temperatures climb going into summer, and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada says it is taking action. Wednesday at the inaugural Southern Nevada Extreme Heat Summit, the agency launched a plan to fortify the region's infrastructure against extreme heat.
