So, I have another special guest on the show. He has been bugging me to hop on the podcast and I finally let him. This is my dog, my brother, my homie, my teammate for life, my guy, Aaron Mellete.

I would give you an intro within this bio, however, I will let him explain it on the episode! This is part one, of our conversation. The second part will come later this year in the winter. Welcome back to another episode! Today I will be discussing constructive criticism and the idea that everyone should be able to distinguish the difference between that and solely negative feedback. I also suggest that it ties in with being coachable.

Constructive criticism: 1) providing feedback in a manner that acknowledges both the positives and where there is room for improvement instead of solely focusing on the negatives; or 2) the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one.

Another new Free Game Episode! Stop letting others (society) control you. Stop allowing someone to dictate who you are, what you do, and who you want to be. Far too often do we allow others to tell us what we want to do and far too often do we allow others to tell us what they believe is best for us. sometimes we need to ask ourselves if we truly want to be what society wants us to be. Once we figure out who we are, the possibilities in life are endless.

Being coachable means being open to asking for and receiving feedback, looking inward at how you can move forward, and being interested in growth. You don’t take things personally or as criticism, instead, you see it as an opportunity.
