Liverpool kicked off their latest Champions League campaign with a thrilling 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid at Anfield on Wednesday.
The hosts looked to be cruising to victory after two early goals from Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah but a deflected Marcos Llorente effort before half-time kept the visitors in it.
And the same man scored again thanks to another deflection late on to seemingly grab a point for Atletico that they had barely merited.
However, Arne Slot's side called on their incredible knack for scoring late winners once again, with Virgil van Dijk nodding home a corner in injury time.
That is no more than they merited, according to Reds reporter David Lynch, who was at Anfield to see the drama unfold.
Here, he hails the incredible spirit of Slot's men, while debutant Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Ryan Gravenberch are also praised.
