David McCloskey is a data consultant with a background in psychology, data management and modelling. His ability to tell stories and capture the essence of a problem has allowed him to inform and be part of a number of state and national policy development projects. In this discussion we explore the ability for health data to inform public health policy, the interaction this has with decision making, contributors to healthcare problems and the interplay with health research.
