On Friday, Tabea Kabinde, who is the Chairperson of the Commission for Employment Equity briefed the media around on the status of the country’s employment equity. Her report indicates that the pace of transformation is still very slow. It goes on to say that top management positions are still largely occupied by whites at 62%, followed by Africans at 16%, despite the fact that Africans have the highest number in professional qualification at 48% compared to whites at 30%.
