Latif Rivers - Life and Basketball

On this episode we talk to Latif Rivers from the Harlem Globetrotter.  Latif grew up and attended school in New Jersey,  where he learned to play basketball. As a senior in high school, Latif earned All State honors,  First Team All Union County, and First Team All Defense. Latif attended Wagner College in Staten Island, where he was coached by the sons of Hall of Fame high school coach, Bob Hurley, Dan Hurley and brother, Bobby. During his time at Wagner, Latif became a two time MVP, two time All NEC Selection and holds the school record for most victories for a four year class with 76 wins. Latif scored over 1,500 points during his four year career, becoming only the 12th in the school’s history. He finished by averaging 13.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2 assists per game. Latif grew up in a sports family, and was inspired by his uncle who was the owner of a successful sports performance business,  who not only taught him the game of basketball, but also taught him the game of life.

Latif discusses meeting Snoop Dogg and the Sweet Georgia Brown Remix they did with Snoop for the super bowl ad. He also discusses the globetrotters and the NBA, and his life as part of such a prestigious orgnization.
