WOW 4.5 stars
I am a vengeful, blood thirsty wench - I always want to see the bad guy get his/her due. The more painful for them the better. That being said, if anyone had said to me - you are going to cry when you read this novella - I would have laughed at them!
I cried - it nearly broke my heart. And I am not sure who I felt the sorriest for - Latymer or Giles.
No doubt Latymer was a villain and he had to die - but OMG!
I have read epic novels that didn't drag out as much emotion in me as this little novella did!
If you have read the other Nexus novels - you definitely will want to read this! I would highly suggest reading the entire series in order before reading this novella.
I was thrilled to see Mac and Amelia get a happy ending - I wish there was more about them in this book...
The only thing that kept me from giving this a 5 star review was the narrative - the switching from third person to first person - for more than one character - kinda broke the flow of the story for me. Not to mention - I hate first person narrative!
Other than that - I really loved this novella.
Amazing!!
A treasure that is well written and impressive. A novella that is quick, fast paced and action filled. It is told from several of the characters point of views. The reader is drawn into the tale of a traitor, his son, spies, the people out to have him do their bidding, the sacrifices and choices he made, good and bad. Latymer is an amazing story but be warned tissues are needed. Another hit for this amazing author. A not to miss read!!

Nice Insight!
This novella from Tracey Devlyn provides great insight and into the motivating influences for the bad boy of the Nexus series, Latymer. The author provides a glimpse into why the villain in her stories made the choices he did and, ultimately, how he sought to redeem himself - at least in the eyes of his son.
A wonderfully told story about family and the power of the influence they hold over our decision.
The ending was great, but I won't tell you as I don't want to be a spoiler!
so glad you wrote a 4th book!
I was really excited when I started reading the Nexus series it was like Wow a new author that i really like, can't wait to read more of her books! But in the end I felt left without a conclusion and so many unanswered questions, without this last book I honestly wasn't going to read any morr of this author.
