"Laugh About It with Sade Champagne" is a new kind of comedy- we feature special & celebrity guest comedians live in the studio, share funny & encouraging stories, hear hilarious memories from the listeners, play music and much more. Comedians have been very cathartic & influential to my life, giving me comfort during some of my hardest times and also providing some of my fondest memories. This year we are making space for more laughter, more joy and more playfulness. Episode 98 is our fourth ever Good News Only special starring self-taught media practitioner, storyteller and philanthropist Mary Michael! She is a Ph.D. candidate in the Film and Media Studies department at UC Santa Barbara. She has a B.S. in Sociology/Law and Society from the University of California, Riverside, and an M.A. in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Southern California. She aims to use her Ph.D. to work in migrant advocacy, particularly regarding the emergence of new technologies and their impact on migrant life.
