About This Episode

What happens when an organization’s culture is disconnected from their business strategy? Dr. Laura Hamill, an organizational psychologist and author of The Power of Culture, shares how culture, when treated as an HR task rather than a strategic driver, loses its power to impact performance. Drawing from her personal story and leadership experience, she explains how leaders shape culture through everyday actions, not just values statements. Laura urges companies to move beyond surface-level perks and instead embed human-centric values into systems and behaviors. She offers practical strategies for aligning culture with business goals and making a compelling case for cultural transformation as a critical driver of success.
