48: Laurah Norton & Brooke Hargrove

In this episode, Bob chats with Laurah Norton and Brooke Hargrove, hosts of “The Fall Line.” Their podcast brings light to lesser-known cases involving marginalized communities in Southeast America, with a special focus on their home state of Georgia. The three discuss Laurah’s writing and academic career and Brooke’s work as a grief counselor, while also covering many of the cases that have been featured throughout the many seasons of The Fall Line. Bob, Laurah, and Brooke then dive deep into the case of the unsolved disappearance of Brian Wehrle in 2009. Brian was visiting his hometown of Carrolton, Georgia, when he failed to appear at a routine appointment at Probate Court one morning. A neighbor reported seeing him in his garage the night before, but the next morning, both Brian and his vehicle were gone. Three months later, Brian’s Buick was found in a different state with stolen plates, but since then the trail has gone cold.
