Increasingly, we prioritize access over ownership in our lives. We subscribe to a car service instead of owning a car and we prefer to have access to 15 million songs on Spotify over buying CDs or mp3s. This trend is dubbed collaborative consumption. It was named by TIME as one of the “10 Ideas That Will Change The World” and is the new human behavior we will explore in this session.
