Lauren Daigle (Atlantic Records / Centricity Music) was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, and raised in a home filled with music. From an early age, she was drawn to singing, often describing music as a constant presence in her life. Her upbringing in the South exposed her to a blend of gospel, blues, and soul—styles that would later shape her signature sound.

Her journey, however, was not without challenges. As a teenager, Daigle faced a serious illness that kept her out of school for an extended period. During that time, she leaned heavily into music and faith. What could have been a setback became a defining moment, strengthening both her voice and her sense of purpose.
