With modern innovation allowing manufacturers to create devices that mimic the on-site devices used by professionals in salons, spas, and clinics, CurrentBody has brought together a complete selection available for home use technology.
He took the knowledge he built up from supplying medical-grade devices to clinics, spas and other types of professional units and applied it to the world of beauty. Laurence and his business partner created a website where consumers could go to buy beauty and well-being devices that they could use at home. Providing them with the chance to experience the kind of treatments that were typically only available in high-end physio rooms, spas, clinics and beauty parlours.
Since launching, the business has grown rapidly and now has 17 international websites with over 14 million users. As well as this, CurrentBody also sold a £50m majority stake in the business to investors eComplete towards the end of 2021 – securing previous investment from NVM (now Mercia) in 2018 and BGF in 2019.
They now have their own brand, CurrentBody Skin, which is used by celebrities around the world. This innovative range specialises in LED technology which has seen huge development and growth over the last two years.
