This is a song I wrote for my dad on his birthday. In a way it is an extension of my "Daddy" poem, which you can also find in a prior episode. The bottom line is that I believe everything can be brought back to poetry. If you choose to see life in this way--that's when life truly becomes so colorful. I named it lavender for a few reasons but the main one is it is my dad's favorite color. And for reasons I cannot explain I know why. I hope hearing this song reminds you of someone you love. I hope this song brings you back-- either to yourself, to a hopeful future, or a pivotal moment in your life.
