February 26, 2013 marks ten years since we lost Lawrence to cancer. He was an essential catalyst in the organization’s birth and development and his values and dedication are traits that continue to be integral to our work at DCD. Focussed on Canada’s theatrical dance history, DCD’s collection dates back to the mid-1800s and includes materials such as costumes, props, sets, backdrops, make-up, choreographic notes, photographs, moving images, playbills, souvenir programs, publicity documents, journals, notation scores, correspondence, business records, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, artworks, designs, radio transcripts, oral history recordings and books.
