When you look up a synonym for the word "estate" you get the words castle and mansion. But you don't need to live in castle or own a mansion to have an "estate plan." In fact, an estate is just the collection of assets and belongings you accumulate during your lifetime and an estate plan is the plan you make while you are living that can save your loved ones lots of time, money and grief.
