Pray this Lazaroo in abject humility:

“When Jonah’s warning reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes…”

(Jonah 3:6)

In that perilous moment, Jesus

the king didn’t feel like a king.

He had just encountered the true King:

the King of kings.

He didn’t feel like royalty.

Instead, he recognized that before You

he was nothing.

In self-abasement, he removed his royal robes

to signal His change of heart to You.

And so do I, LORD!

So do I.
