O Jesus!

How could anyone hate You?

It’s because they don’t know You, isn’t it?

What they hate is their false idea of You.

Or maybe it’s because they’ve heard

You hate the sins they’re committing

not realizing that You hate those sins because You love them

and know the havoc those sins will wreak on their lives.

Help me truly know You, LORD!

and trust the amazing love

behind every one of Your commands.
