“…altar of burnt offering…”

(Leviticus 4:25)

That was then, Jesus.

This is now.

Back then, Your people had to constantly slaughter animals and burn them as sacrifices on Your altar to atone for their sins.

But You gave Yourself on the cross

to pay for all the sins of everyone who believes.

I no longer have to kill an animal and burn it on Your altar.

Instead, You call me to make myself a living sacrifice

pleasing to You.
