My immediate response is:

“I won’t, Jesus! I won’t!”

But I do.

God help me, I do.

What I want to know is:

Why?!!!

Your Word is precious to me.

It’s my life, it sustains me, it feeds my longing soul.

It’s pure, unadulterated truth.

When all else around me falls

Your Word stands.

Apparently, it’s not enough for me to hear Your Word and agree with it.

I’ve got to memorize it.
