We've seen a lot of hysteria start to build around the #COVID-19 epidemic over the past couple of months. However, it seems as though we have a right to be suspicious when there is talk among citizens of the US to #StayAtHome until authoritative sources say so. The same authoritative sources that blatantly misquote and sensationalize these epidemics and have used our own psychology against us. "Authority Bias" is real and it seems to be encapsulating the American consciousness during a time of uncertainty. We take a look into the numbers and asses the risks of allowing our economy to reopen. As well as the slippery slope of the temporary removal of absolute rights like freedom to protest, freedom of assembly, and freedom of speech.
