On the latest episode of Mormon Book Reviews Evangelical Steven Pynakker interviews Thomas Murphy a Anthropologist with Edmonds College. Thomas was in a couple of Evangelical documentaries in the early to mid aughts. DNA vs The Book of Mormon (2003) and The Bible vs The Book of Mormon were seen by millions of Evangelicals. Thomas was extensively interviewed and featured in both. For the first time he tells the story of his almost lifelong interactions with Evangelicals starting at age 9. We also discuss the impact he's had on Mormonism 20 years after the release of his paper “Lamanite Genesis, Genealogy, and Genetics,” the first peer-reviewed article on DNA and the Book of Mormon. I hope you enjoy our almost 2 hour long conversation where we have a very unique dialogue. Thomas will also come back on to react and respond to my upcoming interview with Rod Meldrum of FIRM Foundation.
