The Feast of Saint Valentine was established by Pope Gelasius I in AD 496 to be celebrated on February 14 in honor of Saint Valentine of Rome, who died on that date in AD 269.
In the case of the American Heart Association, it was a group of physicians and social workers that decided they need to alter the ignorance of heart health knowledge at the time.
Dr. Martin Luther King decided he needs to stand up for equality for people of color to stop the mindset of the time against the African-Americans at the time. His legacy lives on with February Black History Month.

“Love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep on watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it.”
― John Lennon
It's time to bring hearing loss awareness out of the cupboard and address this leading communication disability.
