From being an average leg-spinner to becoming one of the greatest Test players to being stripped off captaincy and banned from the game for 1-year to make a dream return to his favourite format. This,as it may look like one, is not a movie script but the story of Australian hero of the first Ashes test, Steven Peter Devereux Smith.
In the first test of Ashes 2019 and the ICC World Championship, Australia defeated England by 251 runs thanks to Steven Smith, who became the first Australian since Matthew Hayden(in 2002) to score 2 centuries in the same Ashes Test match. He,also jumped to the no.3 spot of the Test ranking and joint-3rd in the list of most centuries by a player in Ashes.
