A key tool in the Pastor's leadership repertoire is the Pulpit. Too often the leadership methods of the church are modeled after corporate CEOs or self-help books. There is wisdom to be gained in those areas to be sure but Dr. Currie is calling us to look to the Scriptures and the the ministry of Christ himself to learn how to best shepherd God's flock. What we find there is that the preached word ought to be central to our leadership efforts.
