I have been receiving so many DMs from our listeners lately asking all about wether women can work in roles aside from stewardess positions onboard superyachts. Well you asked and we listened and today's guest is exactly who you need to hear from! The delightful Lia who now works as a Lead deckhand/dive instructor and the onboard photographer for the vessel she is currently working on which is a privately owned 55m Motor Yacht. 

Lia has kindly agreed to share with you all her journey into the dream position she works in now, and exactly how she did it so that you can do it to!

We chat about her Journey into Yachting, from working as a Stewardess to becoming a Lead Deckhand. What the role of a Lead Deckhand entails and the challenges and benefits of transitioning from a position in the interior to a position on the exterior. 

There are strong misconceptions about how valuable additional skills can be in the world of yachting and Lia shares how she incorporated her passions into her daily roles working onboard Super Yachts
