Chasity Banks, Marquino Douglas, and students from the Leadership Empowerment Center join host Byron Tyler on this episode of Mid-South View Point. The Leadership Empowerment Center, developed by Pastor Marron Thomas in the Frayser community of Memphis; challenges students to step up and discover their leadership potential for making positive changes where they live. Most of the students come from single parent homes in a community plagued by gangs, violence, and poverty. Students are given the opportunity through the LEC; to reject being molded by their environment or circumstance. Discovering their leadership potential with the help of the LEC provides a clear vision for change in their personal lives and community, through a foundation built on Jesus Christ.
